The house has undergone some changes since Shakur’s time here

Rapper and actor Tupac Shakur’s last house, a nearly 6,000-square-foot mansion in an area of Woodland Hills near the Calabasas border, is on the market for $2.659 million, reports TMZ.

Shakur lived in the house from 1995 up to the time of his 1996 murder in Las Vegas. Though the house was leased for him by his label at the time, Death Row Records, the Los Angeles Times reported in 2000 that Shakur was in escrow to buy the house at the time of his death.

A 1997 Vanity Fair profile of the artist noted that the residence, in which Shakur lived with his fiancée Kidada Jones (daughter of music powerhouse Quincy Jones) was always filled with visiting members of Shakur’s extended family and “any friend who needed a bed.”

Outside the house, lyrics to Shakur’s song “Made Ni**az”—the last song he made an official video for before his death—are still carved into the concrete: “Let no man separate what we create.”

The six-bedroom house has visibly been updated since the late 1990s, courtesy of the current owner and at a cost of about $1 million, says TMZ. (Listing agent Mark Hermann says the house has changed hands twice since Tupac was a resident.)

The listing touts a roster of luxurious amenities, from a huge stainless steel stove to a master suite with its own sitting room and a jacuzzi tub.

The backyard features a spacious, grassy yard, a pool, and an outdoor patio with fireplace and grill area. It’s listed for $2.659 million.
